I have wanted to see your shows on facebook but the time differences makes it difficult as I get up early in the morning. Do you have them posted to Youtube somewhere that I can watch them. Been a fan since Confessions of an Infamous Liar.

Thank you for demystifying the basics of music for my son over skype! Your clear and patient instruction made a HUGE difference in his ability to play. He was able find the joy in it much more quickly than he would have on his own. You are an inspiration in so many ways, John Carroll.

I have to say there's been very few local artists in Ottawa the I've purchased CD'S from. John Carroll is one of them. I enjoy his music almost every day. I have since left Ottawa and certainly miss seeing him live at the Lafayette on Wednesdays. Amazing voice, amazing music. Hope to see you at Folk On The Rocks in Yellownife very soon, John!

Slide back to summer of 2007, at a small pub in Ottawa... when I walked passed John Carroll playing in a small quiet pub, when I really needed food for my soul... Us from Toronto; my mother, my sister, myself, my partner, and my mothers best friend from New York decided to go on a road trip from Toronto to Montreal. Plans were discussed, reservations made, itineraries print! But, as usually happens on adventures, nothing happened the way it was supposed to. Buses misses, medications forgotten, bad directions. Phew... We finally made it to Montreal, spent 3 or 4 tense and tired days there then decide to head back to Ottawa... Exhausted and forcibly having fun we check in to our room Elgin Hotel, then me and my honey decide it's time for a long summers eve walk. We were strolling along, through the by-ward market after the turbulent week, thinking of things we could do to brighten our mood and relax our minds... Then John Carroll happened. From the open doors and windows of a small, well-loved pub; the sound of John's silken gravel voice and guitar, warmth and soul grabbed us. It was a light switch for the tone of the vacation, the 2 hour set that John Carroll played that night was medicine. The Beauty, depth, and realism of his music was deeply moving and his subtle passion painted a whole new view for us. Beautiful, warm, so full, soulful... Brilliant musician! Love, love love love lovelovelovelove!

Thanks for a great show on a rainy Wednesday night! We was in town for the night on business and you really set the vibe for my crew. Can't wait to catch you at The Laff the next time I'm in Canada. "Everybody smokes..."

Hey John! Thanks for playing a wicked show at the Classic Theatre in Cobalt. Not only was your music great and lyrics inspiring but your between song commentary was more than hilarious! I picked up both your albums and am looking forward to learning a few songs (especially When the Robots Come). Can't wait to hear what's in store. Cheers

Had a great time watching the show at Blacksheep Inn. Also loved the music of the very talented Birdie White. Looking forward to hearing you at Jazzfest and Bluesfest!

LOVED the show last night at Black Sheep Inn. Great music and great storytelling. Also really enjoyed Birdie White's music - John's wife? - not sure but can't find anything online about her or her music. Help.

John, With great sadness I report that I will be unable to attend your show at the Acoustic Grill on Friday. I think this is the first time in three years I have not been present for your performance there.....hope I don't go to hell for that, but if so....I'll see you there! - Doug
